The Occam was put through Orbea's Advanced Dynamics suspension technology which uses exclusive software tools that provide the engineers with thorough information about the way the bike behaves. Orbea AM Geometry is built around 140 mm of travel with 27.5"" wheels for a rugged stance allowing for more maneuverability best suited for technical descending. The Occam AM geometry proper head tube angle and short chainstays to deliver speed and responsiveness through technical terrain, while also remaining stable after picking up speed. Additionally, the seat tube angle is strategically positioned to provide the best leverage when climbing steep and rugged terrain. With the Occam, Orbea does away with the rear axle pivot point and incorporates UFO technology also found in the highly-acclaimed Oiz. A flexible seat stay requires less maintenance while also providing more lateral stiffness. With its' ideal weight-stiffness balance, the Occam frame is does away with bearings and pivots to lighten up the frame. The Occam is made with Orbea's triple butted hydroformed aluminum. To complement such a trail worthy machine, the Orbea Occam boasts some top-notch suspension pieces and a rock-solid built kit. The fork on the Orbea Occam H10 is the Fox 34 with 140mm of suspension travel. The Fox Float DPS rear shock has a three position custom tune for quick adjustments while on the trail. The Occam features Shimano's XT componentry, offering smooth, reliable, quick, and quiet shifting, every time. Shimano XT shifters are linked to a Shimano XT front and rear derailleur for the ultimate gear shifting experience.
